NFL and Twitter to partner on more live programming

If fantasy advice, Cam Newton memes and bashing officials aren’t enough NFL social media for you, get ready for more. Twitter and the NFL have announced a multi-year deal that will elevate league coverage via Twitter.

Among the plans:

Twitter will broadcast a 30 minute show, 5 days a week in season using NFL Network personnel.

The NFL will utilize Twitter and Periscope to provide pregame access for its primetime games.

The NFL will continue to air highlights and clips, many of them of a historical nature, via its Twitter account.

Financial details have not been released, but this is a smart move for both parties. The NFL extends his reach while Twitter continuing to diversify its offerings.
