VP Mike Pence angrily leaves 49ers-Colts game after national anthem protest
Vice President Mike Pence attended today’s 49ers-Colts game. For a split second. minutes. Pence was on the scene to celebrate the unveiling of Manning’s statue but also presumably to watch the action.
But after the national anthem, during which approximately 25 49ers kneeled, Pence bolted.
I left today’s Colts game because @POTUS and I will not dignify any event that disrespects our soldiers, our Flag, or our National Anthem.

Once safely out of unpatriotic Lucas Oil, Pence released a lengthier statement:
I stand with @POTUS Trump, I stand with our soldiers, and I will always stand for our Flag and our National Anthem. pic.twitter.com/B0zP5M41MQ

If the administration was looking to further politicize this issue, this game was ideal. The 49ers have been protesting in some form since last preseason. It would have made news had they all stood. Trump’s tweets should follow in 3…2…???
