Sports Illustrated’s Peter King had a brief but enlightening interview with Jay Cutler as part of King’s MMQB column. King asked Cutler if he had practiced much for the Fox gig he would have started if Ryan Tannehill was not injured.
“I mean, I’d be lying if I said I did.”
Cutler rarely participated in interviews while in Chicago, though he did have a morning radio spot. He continues to be a fascinating player who is deceivingly smart. Love him or hate him, Cutler is a refreshing change from the quarterbacks who are brands first and people second. Though we doubt his former Fox colleagues feel the same!
