Jags RB Leonard Fournette suspended against Bengals for violation of team rules

With Ezekiel Elliott’s on-again, off-again suspension and a rash of injuries, the carousel of NFL running backs is hard to follow.

Add Leonard Fournette to the OUT category for Week 9. In a rather stunning development, Jaguars head coach Doug Marrone has suspended the electrifying rookie running back for violating team rules.

Marrone released a very short statement.

ESPN’s Field Yates reports that one of the reasons behind Fournette’s suspension is that he missed the team photo earlier this week.

Marrone, along with VP of football operations Tom Coughlin, are known to run militant operations but there should be seemingly more than a missed photo to warrant a suspension, especially for a player as productive as Fournette.

In six games played, Fournette has 596 yards and six touchdowns.

We’re sure there is more to come out of Jacksonville.
