Tampa Bay’s Best Chance to Win
The Bucs’ pass rush – led by Jason Pierre-Paul, Shaq Barrett, and Ndamukong Suh – has been a force as of late. In the NFC Championship, the blitzmeisters were able to pressure Aaron Rodgers on a third of his drop-backs. Like Rodgers, Mahomes is a master at extending plays and making magic happen. But…that’s going to be a bit harder due to the monumental loss of Pro Bowl left tackle Eric Fisher who tore his ACL in the NFC Championship. Fill in Mike Remmers is a fine enough player but still a big downgrade from Fisher. Right tackle Mitchell Schwartz will also miss the game due to injury
Oh, also there’s that Tom Brady guy who has a history of catching fire in the second half of Super Bowls.
Kansas City’s Best Chance to Win
Put up points early and often and also late. The Chiefs scorched the Bucs in the first quarter of their Week 12 matchup. In what felt like a blink of an eye, Tyreek Hill has amassed 200 receiving yards and the Chiefs scored 17 points. Given the start, it’s bonkers to think they only won 27-24. Then Tampa made adjustments and the Chiefs offense went quiet. Still, the Chiefs know they have the offensive personnel to stymie the Bucs’ secondary. Figuring out how to cover Hill or Travis Kelce is a painful Figuring out how to cover both is a nightmare.
