Chiefs Release Kareem Hunt After Disturbing Video Surfaces

Early Friday TMZ released a video containing disturbing footage of Kareem Hunt pushing and kicking a woman at a Cleveland hotel in February.

The Chiefs were silent much of the day but finally made the decision to release the troubled second-year back, insinuating that he lied when first investigated.

Hunt was also placed on the Commissioner’s Exempt list, meaning he cannot practice, play or even attend an NFL game while the league amps up its investigation. While the Chiefs’ move is logical given the circumstances, many questions remain about why the team and league were not more thorough in their earlier investigation. And given that this is the second disturbing act of violence against women this week, what is the NFL going to do about its policy because status quo clearly isn’t working.
