J.J. Watt’s fundraising efforts to help Hurricane Harvey victims top $4 million (and counting)
No one is allowed to ever speak an ill word about Texans DE J.J. Watt.
In the wake of Hurricane Harvey, Watt started soliciting donations to help evacuees, and the response was been inspiring. What started as a modest goal of raising $200,000 has spiraled in donations topping $4 million. Watt has been keeping fans updated with frequent videos along the way. One particularly large donation came in today from Titans owner Amy Adams Strunk. Watt thanked her and everyone.
“Humanity is incredible. The positive vibes are unbelievable. Houston, the whole world is thinking of you. Stay strong. We’ve got your back,” said an emotional Watt in his latest video to announce a new fundraising goal of $4 million (which has now been surpassed).
