Fitz on Fantasy: Complete 2018 Fantasy Football Rankings
We’ve begun the march toward the 2018 fantasy draft season, and many of you are already drafting in best-ball leagues, so hopefully these rankings will help you with draft prep.
(NOTE: Please disregard the May 14 posting date. I’m able to update the rankings without reposting them, and I’m updating them daily, so these will not be out of date if you’re seeing them on, say, May 31 or June 7.)
Quick thoughts on positional rankings …
QBs: With old guys (Brady, Brees, Rivers) aging gracefully and young guys (Wentz, Watson, Goff, Garoppolo) coming on, the position is deep. Forgive my relative caution on Wentz and Watson — I’m not ready to put either in the top five.
RBs: It’s going to be fun debating Gurley vs. Le’Veon, Zeke vs. D.J., and Saquon vs. Kamara vs. Hunt all summer. As you’ll see, I’m high on Saquon — and, for that matter, a lot of the other rookie RBs from a promising draft class.
WRs: Once you get past the top eight, you’ll see a wide difference of opinion among rankers. Remember: Follow the targets. I’m lower than consensus on WRs from the Rams and Chiefs, two of the teams with target logjams.
TEs: As usual, this position looks deeper than it really is.
