Source: Randy Moss unlikely to hire agent

Randy Moss may be representing himself after all.  A source close to Moss tells The Football Girl the wide receiver has decided “he’s probably not going to hire an agent.”

This possible oscillation by Moss comes one week after he told Ian Rapaport of the Boston Herald that he fired long-time agent Tom DiPietro and was looking to hire a new agent who would focus on turning Moss into a viable player off-the-field.  In talking to Rapaport, the 33-year-old Moss detailed his qualifications, “I’m still playing at a high level, I’m still marketable.”  And that of his new future agent, “It could be a female, a male, black or white, I don’t really care,”  Moss explained, “I just want somebody who can be out there hungry and starving to make this money off the field. I just think that I still have four, five, six years left, depending on how my body holds up. Everything can work out for the best.”

When asked to explain Moss’s sudden shift, the source replied, “No reason. That’s just Mossy.” Mossy indeed.
