Jeff Hart: Wednesday Linkfest for November 2, 2011

Is this the next face of Ugg Boots?

Patriots WR Julian Edelman was arrested late Monday evening for groping a woman at a bar. Reached for comment on the incident, which allegedly occurred in front of witnesses on a crowded dance floor, Ben Roethlisberger called Edelman an “amateur” while derisively snorting.

Not all NFL players are out there getting drunk and molesting. Some are even doing good deeds! Like DeSean Jackson, who took a needy family grocery shopping. Maybe some of that good karma will rub off on an Eagles organization that still isn’t paying Jackson what he’s worth.

Who is going to take Mark Brunell grocery shopping? After numerous bad investments, the veteran QB has virtually nothing to show for 18 seasons of NFL football. Brunell will begin a 9-5 job when he retires after this season. How does this happen?

Meanwhile, reformed bad-boy Pacman Jones (amazing what living in a quiet city like Cincinnati can do for a guy) has claimed that Titans ownership abandoned him during his times of need. Should we ask what Titans owner Bud Adams thinks?

Thanks, Bud.

Remember at the beginning of the season, when Eli Manning claimed he should be in the discussion with the elite QBs like Tom Brady? And we all laughed and laughed? Well, so far Eli’s numbers have actually backed him up. But, as Cold Hard Football Facts breaks down, November is when things normally go off the rails for Eli.

What does the greatest Detroit Lion ever think about this season’s potentially playoff bound squad? Check out this in depth profile of Barry Sanders to find out. Oh, and if you were wondering how Ndamukong Suh’s meeting with Roger Goodell went, the commish quickly took to Twitter, likely to assure us he was still alive.

Finally, ever the contrarian, Phil Simms has concluded that Andrew Luck doesn’t have an NFL arm. Instead, he thinks scouts should be taking a look at that kid playing for Tennessee.
