Jeff Hart: Tuesday Linkfest for June 12, 2012

Taking the first step toward rebranding the Jaguars as a football team that actually exists, here’s a video of some superficially happy people doing a new “move” called The Jaguar. Rest assured, they’re all crying on the inside.
Who won’t be doing The Jaguar this season? Maurice Jones-Drew. The star back’s contract situation remains murky; catch up on this very exciting potential holdout news over at Shutdown Corner.
Moving on to a team that will actually be relevant this season, here’s a very interesting take on the lasting damage Charles Woodson has done to the younger members of the Green Bay secondary. This should be an important lesson to players around the league: don’t try to emulate Hall of Famers because you probably suck.
Perhaps I was too dismissive last week when talking about the DUI problem currently plaguing the NFL. Giants guard Dave Diehl got busted over the weekend after getting his load on at a charity event. As a first time offender, Diehl likely won’t be suspended by the NFL. After four DUI arrests in the last month, and with the problem no longer contained to Detroit, maybe it’s time for Goodell to put his foot down.
Giving voice to an issue we hardly ever acknowledge around here, Tedy Bruschi declared that Tim Tebow should totally shut up. I agree with Bruschi that no one wants their back-up QB to be a media darling, but Tebow isn’t really to blame for his status as most Google’d NFL player. The first step to easing Tebow out of the national consciousness is to stop talking about him.
With that in mind, the rest of the links will be Tim Tebow related. Am I doing this right, Bruschi?
Here’s a really heinous Tebow shin tattoo. Not sure whose face is tattooed on the guy’s other leg, but that just seems like a horrible way to go through life.
Curious how Rex Ryan will be using his over-hyped back-up QB? Beware the fake punt, everyone.
And finally, here’s a fun little one act about Tim Tebow’s banishment from Denver and his subsequent resurrection in New Jersey. I really like the part where he’s carrying the cross.
