Jeff Hart: Tuesday Linkfest for July 3, 2012

How was everyone’s weekend? Not to get too into my personal life, but mine was sort of wild. Dropped at least a cool hundo… wait, Pacman Jones spent how much?! Man – one million in a weekend without even paralyzing anybody. That’s baller.

Enough small talk, let’s get onto football! What news does the Worldwide Leader in Sports bring us today?

Okay, so it’s still a little slow around here. Maybe that means it’s a good time to start hashing out some of this season’s most divisive fantasy football debates.

While we discuss these important battles - like Isaac Redman vs. Willis McGahee! - we’ll ignore that the rise of fantasy football has probably contributed to the decline of NFL live attendance that now has the league worried enough to change blackout rules. Ticket buyers are staying away because they can’t check their fantasy teams… and also because people are beaten in the parking lot, the beers are too expensive, and you can’t bring your kids. Why let some drunk in a fireman’s hat and facepaint spill Bud Light on your kids when you could just stay home, refresh Yahoo Stat-Tracker, and neglect away as usual?

If you’re not caught up on the details of this Fred Davis lawsuit, you should really remedy that ASAP. If you need to be sold: it involves a madam named Chaka, the dumping of a juice bottle on someone’s head, and Fred Davis representing himself.

Mike Vick got married over the weekend. It was really expensive and they served chicken and waffles, so, basically my dream wedding.

And speaking of infidelities, here are the athletes wives would be most likely to cheat on their spouses with. Really surprised to see Tim Tebow ranked so high. Ladies, lets raise the standards of your cuckolding.

Independence Day is tomorrow! Hope everyone has a good one and spends it thinking about how we’re all beholden to nefarious corporate interests. Like Drew Brees, who is now being punished for speaking out about union rights. U-S-A! U-S-A! U-S-A!
