Ever since he complained to the press last week about his shoddy treatment, Joe Flacco has been having a rough go of it. First, Ed Reed accused him of being “rattled,” and now he’s being narc’d on by a nosy neighbor for practicing his sweet skateboard skills. At least Terrell Suggs is around to defend his quarterback’s honor. The frightening LB took to SportsCenter with an intensity reserved for professional wrestlers, armed to the teeth with statistics. Suggs is really on the media circuit this week. Check out this showdown with Skip Bayless:
Rob Lowe broke the news of Peyton Manning’s retirement yesterday, even if Manning and the Colts organization aren’t ready to admit it yet. Most are assuming the Hollywood star has lost it, but Last Angry Fan astutely points out that it was none other than MC Hammer that broke the Jim Harbaugh to San Francisco story on Twitter. So, maybe we should wait and see?
Which of these potential Super Bowl storylines sounds most intriguing? Choose wisely, because you’re going to be stuck with it for two weeks.

Odds-makers twice put the Giants at long odds to win the Super Bowl during their regular season stumbles, and twice brazen New Yorkers took the bet. Ace Rothstein never saw Tony Soprano coming.
Meanwhile, on the other New Jersey team, LaDainian Tomlinson has at last broken his silence on the feud between Mark Sanchez and Santonio Holmes. It doesn’t sound pretty.
And finally, just because there’s an exciting playoffs happening and crazy news being broken by actors on Twitter, that doesn’t mean there aren’t writers still searching for answers to that most difficult question: why does Andy Reid still have a job?
