Jeff Hart: Monday Linkfest for September 19, 2011

Pointing at the scoreboard is one of my favorite taunts, but I think we need to establish a minimum lead for when it’s appropriate. Sorry, Mike, but 10 points just doesn’t feel like enough. I’d constrain your scoreboard-pointing to cases where you’re up by more than 14 and don’t need the smelling salts.
Did you draft Jamaal Charles, Arian Foster, or Chris Johnson in your fantasy league? Starting to feel a little shaky? Razzball has some notes on yesterday’s games that might put your mind at ease (or not!).
Apparently, Jaguars WR Jason Hill (who?) called Darelle Revis out on being “overhyped” prior to the Jets shellacking of the Jags. Hill was inactive for Sunday’s game, depriving us of a heated match-up between a no-name receiver and a Pro Bowl DB.
It’s not just WRs and DBs that get to have beef anymore – now even front office stiffs are getting in on the action! After accusing the Lions of tampering during the offseason, Chiefs GM Scott Pioli was snubbed by his Detroit counterpart Martin Mayhew following Sunday’s blow-out. Reportedly, Matt Millen called the snub “bush league.”
These feuding GMs could probably find common ground watching Vince Wolfork rumble downfield during an INT return in yesterday’s Chargers game. Doesn’t watching gelatinous lineman run really hard just make you feel better?
First jail and now public nudity; over the last few weeks it’s as if Cedric Benson has been living through all my worst fears in ascending order. Next week: attacked by clowns.
Finally, we look to the wild world of HS football, where an Arkansas team was able to go up 29-0 before their opponent ever touched the ball. The impressive lead was reached by a combination of onside kicks, 2-point conversions, and never punting. The Hoodie has already booked a flight to Little Rock, excited to meet the Anakin to his Palpatine.
