Jeff Hart: Monday Linkfest for November 14, 2011

We have a new front-runner for “best play of the year that didn’t end up counting,” and it’s Kansas City’s Jonathan Baldwin, who ends up needing to reel in Brian Dawkins to finish this amazing grab.

The play was called back after offsetting penalties. Still, Baldwin’s catch is a testament to his skill, which is likely a result of how many Frenchy sandwiches he crammed in before the game. That Melt food truck is the only thing that could ever get me to a game in Kansas City.

Nothing says love like running your team’s only TD in a blowout loss over to your girlfriend, who happens to be a cheerleader for the opposing team. I kept expecting one of the Cowboys players to respond by jogging one of their many TD balls over to Nelson’s girlfriend. Of course, that would’ve likely resulted in a brawl unsuited for the class and decorum of Cowboys Stadium. Keep that bush league stuff in Chicago, where it belongs!

You have to love Matt Stafford’s fire. I like it when QBs takes interceptions personally. I also like his "curl up in a ball when attacked" fighting technique. Stafford has likely learned a thing or two from teammate Ndamukong Suh, who decided that after meeting with the commissioner last week to discuss his playing style, he needed to throw some fresh gasoline on the dirty player bonfire. Here is Suh decapitating Jay Cutler, in GIF format.

Someone should inform CBS that “elitist” doesn’t mean what their production intern thinks it does. As for which NFL QB is the biggest elitist, there are really only two candidates: pretentious Ivy Leaguer Ryan Fitzpatrick or effete fashion snob Tom Brady. Let’s vote!

Rumor has it that DeSean Jackson, who was given the day off yesterday for being a jerk, is coming down with a serious case of Hillisitis. Good thing the Eagles season is just about over – unless you listen to the highly optimistic Ronnie Brown.

Feel like challenging your pain tolerance this Monday morning? See how far you can make it through this DeAngelo Williams karaoke version of Bon Jovi’s “Dead or Alive.” 30 seconds for me.
