There’s a strange infographic over at Sports Grid about how much NFL athletes make. Guess what? It’s a lot! Like, the average NFL salary is worth 80 construction workers. There’s even a section about how much charity those salaries could buy. I don’t get it – are we supposed to be mad at these guys for getting paid for doing what no one else can do? Where’s the infographic on how many starving construction workers could be fed with the profits raked in by the fatcats in the front office who do what literally anyone could?
Speaking of our venerated and overpaid athletes, here’s a picture of Ryan Leaf waiting around for his sentencing. The good news for Leaf is that he won’t have to do more than time served. Anyone want to trade lives?

Staying with criminal activity for a moment, the NFL is implementing a hotline for players to anonymously report bounty activity. Any idea how I could apply for that job? My qualifications include sitting around doing nothing while my phone doesn’t ring. I’m perfect!
