Jeff Hart: Friday Linkfest for June 1, 2012
By: Jeff Hart | Posted: June 01, 2012
Well, here’s an adorable video of Victor Cruz salsa dancing some tears out of an eight year-old fan. It’s about the most wholesome thing I’ve got going in this Linkfest, so enjoy. Enjoy your video of a child crying.
Meanwhile, Desean Jackson made Twitter cry when he shared a Photoshop’d picture of Tupac shaking hands with Osama Bin Laden. At this point, it’s not clear whether Jackson is some kind of fringe Bin Laden death denier that we should chastise for loving 9/11, a big Tupac fan, or just a dork that likes weird pictures. Anyway, let’s get him!
Staying with the wide receiver theme, Hines Ward is joining NBC’s Sunday Night Football team. Is it too much to hope for that after a brief but intense argument over the telestrator pen, Ward has a studio-destroying brawl with Rodney Harrison? Dungy better keep these guys under control.
Of course, no WR-themed run of links would be complete without a mention of the greatest pass-catcher of all time to ever appear on Dr. Phi. Terrell Owens is considering filing suit against his former IFL team after the Allen Wranglers dismissed him earlier this week. The most important detail of this story? That TO’s ownership stake in the Wranglers amounted to $50.
TO’s old pal Roger Goodell is confident that bounty hunting is no longer an issue in the NFL. So, that’s good. Everyone sleep a little sounder knowing that this year’s concussing hits won’t be motivated by a few hundos collected in some back-up’s helmet? I sure did. Thanks, Roger!
Hard Knocks producers claim the Dolphins organization was the only one they actually offered the show to, which is a truly masterful way of making the boring duds of Miami sound like your first choice. Let’s hope the producers put the same amount of effort into making Ryan Tannehill seem interesting.
And finally, begin what will hopefully be a steamy summer weekend with the nation’s most captivating case of virgin will-they-or-won’t-they, starring your matchmaker Nick Mangold.
