In a story that seems better suited to a lost episode of ESPN’s short-lived football drama playmakers, Raiders linebacker Rolando McClain was arrested in Alabama for allegedly threatening to shoot a man and then firing his gun off next to the man’s ear. Really doing Al David proud, Rolando. Also, it’s going to be hard to appear contrite before the commissioner after this ridiculous arrest photo.

In less criminal news, Donavon McNabb implied that his recent struggles are owed to a lack of supporting personnel. Where next on the delusional Donavon tour? Will he bring his meaty chunks of denial and creamy hubris broth to Chicago or Houston?

Speaking of quarterback controversy, here’s the most comprehensive argument for why the Colts shouldn’t carry both Andrew Luck and Peyton Manning that I’ve yet seen. If there’s a rebuttal to make, I don’t know what it is.
