Jeff Hart: Friday Linkfest for April 13, 2012

Following up on a story The Football Girl was all over yesterday, Jabar Gaffney now claims that his Twitter feed was hacked and that the venomous tweets directed at his wife and Lito Sheppard weren’t his. That’s not keeping it 100, Jabar.
Not wishing to be outdone by a lesser WR, noted moron Roddy White took to Twitter last night to make an offhandedly derogatory comment about gay people, then argue with his followers about freedom of speech. At least he didn’t claim his account was hacked, I guess.
Desperate for an example of an athlete using Twitter for good, we turn to LaMarr Woodley, who answered some follower questions in the safe environment of a video shoot. Also, I’m pretty sure his Wolverine tattoo is life size.
Not all players have embraced social networking. For instance, Peyton Manning still uses the phone. Denver’s new QB called some Indianapolis journalists to wish them well and thank them for all the positive coverage they’d given him over the year. Classy move, although severely lacking in hashtags.
Is the NFL ready for a new version of the Wonderlic test? Football Outsiders has started to pitch for the project – go on, test your situational IQ.
Speaking of the draft… uh, it’s happening soon. Head over to NFL’s Future where they’re examining the latest draft rumors for nuggets of truth. The site has promised to close its doors if the Browns trade up to draft Ryan Tannehill, so maybe enjoy it while it lasts.
Is it too early to start talking about fantasy football? If not, your mid-April sleeper is Ben Roethlisberger. Make sure you write that down someplace you’ll remember.
In a business decision with all the internal logic of a series of Roddy White tweets, the NFL has okay’d casino ads at stadiums with part of the revenue going to the league’s anti-gambling program. Makes sense.
Finally, I leave you with the latest gem from the mind of Rob Gronkowski. Not yet clear on what the context of this horribly filmed clip is as it's just bubbling to the surface of the internet, but I'm sure we'll hear more.
