Week 4 Announcer Lineups

As the great prophet Jermaine Clement profoundly declared, “It’s business time.” No statement better encapsulates your Week 4 NFL broadcaster slate. With the real refs making their triumphant return to the NFL stage, our announcers can finally get down to business of calling the actual games rather than critiquing each and every call, no-call, or delay created by the in-over-their-heads replacement refs. I’m particularly happy for Jon Gruden, as I could literally feel him dying inside after having to call that debacle of a Seahawks-Packers game last Monday Night. Viewing the progression of Gruden’s normally rose-colored glasses regress into a dark black was one of the more disturbing events of the NFL season.
On the other hand, Gruden does have to call Jay Cutler this week, so finding the positive in that guy’s performance and demeanor may be just as hard.
