Roger Goodell stepped aside as Bounty Arbitrator and has handed off case to Paul Tagliabue.

Details are still trickling in, but it's probably safe chalk this one up as a win-win-win. Jonathan Vilma, the other players entrenched in the ongoing NFL bounty scandal, and the NFL itself will benefit from the Commissioner's latest move. How Goodell's recusal will impact the outcome of player appeals is yet to be seen, but it's certainly a step in the right direction for a more fair, unbiased process.
