TFG Wednesday Linkfest: Implants and Facemasks

By: The Football Girl | Posted: June 13, 2012

Now that Chad Ochocino has a home and minicamps have begun we can get to the real news.  Erin Andrews may have had a boob job! A heavy dose of pictures and speculation jammed my Twitter feed yesterday.  Seriously, what is wrong with you people? Celebrity is synonymous with “having work done,” so I hardly think Andrews joining the club needs to supersede more important “news” like Rex Ryan’s announcement that Tim Tebow would only take snaps with the second team.

Don’t worry about the newly uber-wealthy Rob Gronkowski going Hollywood and forgetting his roots.  Gronk’s brand of sexy-dirty-distuging on the dance floor will remain, as evidenced by his performance at teammate Zoltan Mesko’s charity event.

I just saw Justin Tuck’s new facemask and even though I haven’t fallen asleep yet, it’s already giving me nightmares.

A lot of players have worthy charitable events, but perhaps none are as revolutionary as Adrian Peterson’s Football for Good Giving Assistant.  The “assistant” is actually an app that you download to your Internet browser and once installed it shows you online purchases that benefit Peterson’s cause of at-risk youth.  Since introduced in November, $25,000 has been raised. Bonus: Zero risk of being "grinded” by Rob Gronkowski

Over in LeBron James’s old stomping grounds, quarterback Seneca Wallace says it’s him or Colt McCoy for the Browns backup job behind rookie Brandon Weeden, and he doesn’t see himself remaining as the number three guy.  Talk about the quarterback battle of the summer.

Texans linebacker Connor Barwin says an openly gay player in the NFL would be welcomed. Barwin has a gay brother and is therefore predisposed to acceptance. But as amazing of a cultural shift it would bring to an NFL desperately in need of one, I doubt a guinea pig is ready to volunteer.
