The Ultimate Guide to the NFL's Offseason of Crimes and Misdemeanors

By: The Football Girl | Posted: July 17, 2012

Ray Lewis should probably stick to football and not crime prognostication. Last May, the Ravens linebacker predicted a lost NFL season would lead to mayhem.

"Do this research if we don't have a season -- watch how much evil, which we call crime, watch how much crime picks up, if you take away our game,” Lewis said.

Well, Mr. Lewis, a new CBA was signed, a season was played and what has ensued is a wave of crime so unprecedented and robust that even "The Wire’s" David Simon would have trouble explaining its origin.

Here is the ensemble cast of the 2012 NFL Offseason Police Blotter Extravaganza, a list shocking to view in its entirety. While there were plenty of arrests during the season as well (hello, Sam Hurd!), this list is for the offseason, which began on January 2nd.

I don't know if this says much for my sense of humor, but this is the most hilarious football-related article I've read in a long time. Thank you so much!
