Once in a while we like to get a little silly here at TFG through parody. Today is one of those days.

This week we’ll be going all kinds of crazy with fantasy rankings and the like -- but before we do, here is one final goodbye to a glorious 2011 season.

Good Roy Helu; though I barely played you at all.

You led me to the playoffs; once Shanny flipped you the ball.

You came out of the woodwork; in Weeks 12-14.

With three 100-yard games; helped me fulfill my dream.

 

And it seems to me I live my life for this game that is pretend.

Never knowing who to pick when the draft begins.

I wish I could remember when I was just a fan.

But my fandom burned out on the day that fantasy began.

 

The Super Bowl was tough, the toughest game I ever played.

But Drew Brees ran up the score; to me it felt like fate.

With that final touchdown; the glory it was mine.

Better luck next year grandma; that is if you’re alive.

Never knowing who to grab when the waivers begin.

I used to be a Bears fan when I was just a kid.

But Jordy Nelson’s done more for me than Chicago ever did.

 

Goodbye Victor Cruz; you salsaed into my heart.

With nine touchdowns in fourteen games; six for over 50 yards.

Goodbye Superman; though your Panthers really blow.

You rained down points from heaven; so much more than…Tim Tebow.
