Virginia Delegate 'Tebows' After 'Tebow Bill' Passes Virginia House

It was only a matter of time before Tim Tebow would inspire a bill. The “Tebow bill” would give home-schooled Virginians a chance to play sports at their local high school, the path famously taken by Tebow himself. Supporters of the bill argue that residents who choose to home-school are not exempt for state and local education taxes, and therefore deserve their children to reap the benefits of high school sports .
Today, the bill passed the Virginia House of Delegates and will become law if it passes the state Senate. I have no idea the political makeup of the Virginia Senate but if Tebow’s name is attached, it’s going to pass.
And in a move that can be classified as cheesy or awesome or both, the bill’s sponsor, Delegate Robert Bell “Tebowed” after the bill’s passage.
For those of us not fond of the Tebow family proselytizing for Focus on the Family, let us pray that all Tebow-inspired legislation ends here.
