The One Missing Ingredient to Our Offseason Has Been Found
By: The Football Girl | Posted: February 16, 2012
The NFL offseason is a mere week and a half old and already we have had plenty of Peyton Manning drama, a major broadcasting shake-up, and a never-ending supply of Tim Tebow (thanks a lot, Jeremy Lin!).
But you knew there was still something missing, a rather large ingredient, in fact. That’s right, Rex Ryan had yet to declare the Jets future Super Bowl champions. That all changed yesterday when Ryan made his first public appearance since his hometown rival Giants won Super Bowl XLVI.
General reaction to Ryan’s broken record declaration has evolved from admiration to skepticism to sheer ridicule. But with no major changes on the horizon in Florham Park, Ryan simply continues to be The Snack Lover Who Cried Wolf.
I think our puzzle of predictable storylines is now complete. Am I missing anyone or anything? (Negative points if your response has anything to do with those that hail from Hattiesburg, MS.)
