Arizona Cardinals
If you’ve seen either of the Cardinals first two games you would understand that they are in a bit of disarray. After two sloppy performances and a quarterback battle which isn’t any closer to being decided, Ken Whisenhunt said his starters will play “as long as it takes” in Fridays game against Oakland.
Cleveland Browns
Is Josh Cribbs a kick returner who also plays wide receiver or a receiver who also returns kicks? Cribbs would like to believe the latter as he fights for respect as a receiver.
Minnesota Vikings
OT Matt Kalil, the no. 4 overall pick in the draft, gave the team a scare when he left practice with a thumb issue. After an MRI came back negative he returned to the field with a taped right thumb.
New York Jets
Happy 25th birthday, Tim Tebow. I heard a rumor a new channel was appearing from thin air to provide wall-to-wall coverage of Tebow’s birthday meals, birthday naps and birthday calls. Stay tuned!
Philadelphia Eagles
The Eagles got some good news on CB Nnamdi Asomugha when team doctors announced he did not suffer a concussion as many had feared. Asomugha had a crushing collision with teammate Nate Allen at yesterday’s practice, which resulted in a busted lip.
Pittsburgh Steelers
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that WR Mike Wallace is expected to report to the Steelers before the start of the regular season.
