Life is never easy in Cleveland. Myles Garrett, the Browns’ pick at #1 overall in the draft, limped off the field yesterday, according to NFL Network’s Aditi Kinkhabwala
The defensive end walked off the field with a limp as the team moved their minicamp session indoors following inclement weather. Head coach Hue Jackson told media that he thought it was a foot injury but also noted that Garrett’s ability to walk off the field without a trainer was a “good sign.” There is no evidence that the injury is serious.
However, Garrett missed some earlier OTA practices with an undisclosed injury, and suffered a high ankle sprain last September.
As the draft neared, Garrett became crystalized as the Brown’s pick. Given how other needs – like quarterback – were eschewed, expectations are sky high. The organization is hoping Garrett a generational defender who turns the tide immediately. Given this pressure, even a papercut is worrisome.
